Daily, you will work in a team to complete:

The position is mainly for outsourcing mandates in construction, improvement and maintenance project management for large manufacturing companies in the Eastern Townships and elsewhere in Quebec.
In collaboration with the project management teams, the engineering team and the assigned technical resources, the Project Engineer will be responsible for :

  • Prepare preliminary design studies and budgets for approval
  • Lead meetings with stakeholders
  • Monitor the progress of projects under his/her supervision, while respecting deadlines and budgets
  • Contribute to concept development
  • Participate in the design process in certain cases
  • Participate in the preparation of specifications and calls for tender
  • Make recommendations during the tender review process, in accordance with established procedures
  • Manage improvement and maintenance projects
  • Coordinate projects with the various parties involved, such as consulting firms, contractors and plant personnel
  • Plan plant shutdowns
  • Supervise plant shutdowns
  • Write daily reports
  • Ensure projects or works meet objectives
  • Archive project information
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, civil engineering, automated production engineering or any other relevant discipline
  • Member of theOrdre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) or other provincial engineering association in Canada
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role as a project engineer in the industrial field
